At first, I had kept all my notes in my Evernote in one notebook. During the middle of the semester I realized this was not a suitable way to keep track of my notes. I decided to split my notebook up into three categories. These categories included: class notes and teaching techniques, science daily articles, and lesson plans or materials I had created or found. To further organize my notebook, I came up with broad titles for each note. My class notes and teaching techniques were divided by the class and teaching topic. Science daily articles were organized based on what unit I would use them to incorporate into. Lastly, lesson plans and materials were titled by subject matter.
The use of my Evernote was mostly school related. I finished the semester with sixty three notes. I found Evernote kept me more organized than if I had kept materials on hand. I also found it useful when I wanted to jot something down that I found interesting during class. I also enjoyed the "shared notebook" feature, that allowed me to access specific materials whenever I needed them. My favorite aspect of Evernote is its convenience. If I had trouble looking for something, searching for key words usually helped me find it instantly. This was also handy when doing work since Evernote is accessible from my laptop. This contributed to my learning in that I spent more time focused on learning rather than searching for things.
Questions still trying to use Evernote:
Is there anyway to change the layout of the notes?
